Jake Freishtat is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) with expertise in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, particularly in the areas of anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. He employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help clients understand their needs and effectively address their difficulties. Jake is devoted to establishing strong therapeutic relationships with his clients, fostering a supportive environment that encourages open expression of concerns.
Additionally, Jake serves as a case manager in the IDDS department at JF&CS, where he assists adults in accessing necessary services, completing Medicaid Waiver applications, and providing guidance to families regarding adult guardianship when required.
